Yes, but you will not be able to receive your title deed unless the cheque is cleared.

Yes, after the auction, you can change the names for each plate through your account.

No, just a copy of his ID is needed.
What happens if I fail to pay for the license plates that I have won?
Your security deposit will be confiscated, and legal action will be taken.

Yes you can own the numbers and the registration depends on the traffic for each emirate
What is required to transfer the ownership of a number plate?
With regard to the transfer from person to person, the presence of the assignee or a public agency must be ensured. The speical agency must be mentioned in the number and category and should also be valid. It is important to take into account that the agency must be original and a copy must be attached to our papers. The effective date of the agency should not exceed three years. Requirements: presence of the original certificate of the number (In case the original certificate is not available, the auction should be contacted to obtain a letter to report the loss at one of the UAQ police stations. The police stations will provide the letter to Emirates Auction for processing instead of the lost certificate). Fees for ownership replacement = AED 500. Fees for ownership transfer = AED 100. Copies of the identity documents of both parties and copies of both driver's licenses are required.

Fees are AED 100 for the transfer, AED 500 in case you lose your certificate, and AED 100 for ownership issuing fee.
What are the procedures in case I lost my title deed?
"Obtain a copy of the owner's identity document and ensure that the name matches the name registered in the system then deliver an official letter from Emirates Auction, which should be valid for 30 days from the date it is issued to the police station in UAQ to report the loss of the number. Visit Emirates Auction again with a letter from the police confirming the loss report. Based on the police letter, an allowance for the lost title deed will be issued, subject to a fee of AED 500."

All bidders are responsible for ensuring that their bids are placed in a timely manner, particularly during the closing moments of an auction, Emirates Auction does not accept responsibility for bids that are not placed or executed due to technical issues, internet connectivity problems, or any other unforeseen circumstances. It is the bidder's responsibility to monitor the auction closely and submit their bids promptly. Bidders are encouraged to bid with sufficient time remaining to avoid any last-minute bidding challenges.
Why was the auction extended without prior notice?
Emirates Auction reserves the right to extend auctions in certain circumstances, such as insufficient bidding activity, technical issues or court’s order. This extension ensures fair competition and allows bidders a reasonable opportunity to participate.
What is the service fee when processing a distinguished plate transaction at a non-designated branch?
This service applies only to distinguished plate transactions. A VIP service fee of AED 300 (VAT inclusive) will be charged in addition to the standard transaction fee when the transaction is handled at a branch other than the one designated for that plate.
