What is “Direct sale”?

Direct sale is buying a special plate number directly without participating in the Auction.

What is the process to buy a number from the direct sale?

You must have an account with Emirates Auction to purchase a number plate from the direct sale. Creating an account is free of cost. After creating your account, choose your desired number and click/tap on the plate or the “Add to Cart” button. The plate number will be added to your cart and you will have 15 minutes to complete the purchase.The next step is to select the ownership and delivery address for the plates in your cart. Once you have provided the ownership and delivery address, you can complete the payment using a credit card. After payment is complete you will see the successfully purchased items in your “My Purchase” screen and you can track their delivery.If using the mobile app, please do not close or leave the app till payment and number plate reservation is completed. If you leave or close the app, the plate will not be reserved for you. If you are using a browser, do not leave the website till payment and number plate reservation is complete; if you leave the website, the plate may not be reserved for you.

I made the payment, how will I know the process is completed?

Upon successful payment, the purchased number will be shown in your “My Purchase” screen.

I do not want the number plate I bought?

Unfortunately all sales are final. There are no refunds.

Is there any additional fees to price of the Number ?

Yes, AED 100 for the issuance of the ownership certificate and AED 53 for the delivery charge.

How can I get my Ownership Certificate, if I purchase the number from website or Emirates Auction application?

Your ownership certificate will be delivered to the address you provided while placing the order, within 7 working days.

How can I get a special number not available on the direct sales list?

You only need to request the number from your personal page from the list of options by requesting the number of the board and choose the requested emirate.

Do you ship all across UAE?

Yes, our courier partners deliver to all accessible areas of the UAE.

Is a deposit required to buy from the direct sale?

The deposit is only required to purchase from the auction. Direct sale does not require a deposit as the payment & reservation is done immediately.

Can I buy the numbers knowing there are traffic fines on the traffic Number ?

Yes, you can purchase the numbers and issue the Ownership only.

Why are some numbers “unavailable”?

When a person clicks on “Buy Now” or adds a number plate to their cart, the number is temporary reserved for them till they complete the purchase. The person has 15 minutes to complete payment. If payment is not complete within 15 minutes, the number is returned to the list. A person can add maximum of 3 numbers to their cart after which they must complete the payment.

How many numbers can I buy from direct sale?

There is no limit on the quantity of numbers you can purchase from direct sale. However, payment can only be completed for 3 number plates at a time.

What methods of payments are accepted?

You can purchase number plates from the direct sale with a valid credit card.

Can I buy a Plate without using on my vehicle?

Yes, you can buy the number and keep ownership without registration

Can I reserve the number of plate in advance by paying a reservation amount ?

No, reserve plate number not available in direct sale list.

What nationalities can get the plate number ?

All nationalities can that.

What is the service fee when processing a distinguished plate transaction at a non-designated branch?

This service applies only to distinguished plate transactions. A VIP service fee of AED 300 (VAT inclusive) will be charged in addition to the standard transaction fee when the transaction is handled at a branch other than the one designated for that plate.
