AED 14 Million Dinosaur Skeleton for Sale in Dubai

The Emirates Auction website in the UAE has put a dinosaur skeleton up for sale in an auction starting at AED 14.6 million.
The website noted that the dinosaur skeleton is currently exhibited in a hall at Dubai Mall, pointing out that the auction will end on August 25 of this year. It clarified that the skeleton belongs to a young dinosaur, approximately 25 years old, from the Jurassic period. This dinosaur is of the long-necked variety that fed on tree leaves, with a whip-like tail used as a means of self-defense against predators. The skeletal structure measures 24.4 meters in length, and its weight was equivalent to that of five elephants.
It was also mentioned that the dinosaur skeleton has a fracture in its tail, attributed to "a bite from a predator" or a physical injury sustained during a tail-whipping confrontation.
The dinosaur’s bones were discovered in 2008 near the town of Ten Sleep in Wyoming, USA. The dinosaur belongs to the "Diplodocidae" family and was purchased by Emaar in 2014 from the Houston Museum of Natural Sciences in Texas.
