January 9, 2026 | Al Emarat Al Youm
The exclusive online auction announced by the Emirates Airline Foundation, in cooperation with Emirates Auction, which offers the chance to acquire special membership numbers in the Emirates Skywards program with Platinum-tier benefits valid for 20 years, continues to attract strong participation from donating bidders. Emirates stated that the proceeds of this auction will be directed to support the humanitarian programs implemented by the Foundation for the benefit of the neediest children around the world.
The auction combines the uniqueness of owning rare membership numbers in the Skywards program with contributing to a noble humanitarian cause, as the proceeds directly help provide better educational opportunities for children benefiting from the Emirates Airline Foundation’s programs. The membership number “EK 700 0000 000” has recorded the highest bid so far, reaching AED 650,000 as of midnight on 9 January, noting that the auction will close on 17 January.
In detail, Adnan Kazim, Chief Commercial Officer at Emirates, said that the Emirates Airline Foundation, in cooperation with Emirates Auction, has launched an exclusive online auction that gives participants from around the world the opportunity to acquire special membership numbers in Emirates Skywards with Platinum benefits for 20 years, noting that the auction ends on 17 January.
Kazim told Emirates Today that this initiative is the first of its kind, explaining that all proceeds from the auction will be directed to support the humanitarian programs implemented by the Foundation for the benefit of the most vulnerable children worldwide. He pointed out that the auction’s proceeds will be used to support 14 non-governmental organizations in nine countries, working in key areas including education, healthcare, housing, nutrition and vocational training, thereby helping to improve children’s quality of life and enable them to have a better future.
He stressed that the auction is open to all members of Emirates Skywards, which now has 37 million members in 190 countries.
Kazim added that this initiative reflects Emirates’ commitment to social responsibility and innovation in supporting humanitarian work, noting that the auction gives donors the opportunity to combine making a lasting humanitarian impact with obtaining exclusive benefits within the Skywards program.
He said: “The auction is held entirely online through the Emirates Auction platform. Registration is free and easy and can be completed within minutes via the website or mobile app, with residents in the UAE able to log in using their UAE digital identity.”
He explained that the winners will be notified within 24 hours of the auction’s end on 17 January 2026, expressing his hope that everyone will participate in the auction, as every contribution makes a real difference.
Kazim continued: “The validity period of the Platinum membership will be determined according to the value of the winning bid,” noting that the auction includes six bidding tiers. The first tier starts at AED 70,000 and grants the winner Platinum membership for one year. As the bid amount increases, the membership duration increases. The second tier starts at AED 250,000 and grants a three-year membership; the third starts at AED 325,000 and grants a five-year membership; and the fourth starts at AED 650,000 and grants a 10-year membership. The fifth tier starts at AED 950,000 and grants the winner Platinum membership for 15 years, while the sixth tier starts at AED 1.5 million or more and grants Platinum membership for 20 years, which is the maximum period available in the auction.
The Chief Commercial Officer at Emirates confirmed that there is strong demand for the special membership numbers, particularly the number 7000000000, indicating that this level of interest reflects the high value participants place on Platinum membership, in addition to their desire to support the humanitarian initiatives led by the Emirates Airline Foundation.
Emirates Skywards Platinum Tier
The Platinum tier is the highest tier in the Emirates Skywards program and is reserved for the most loyal customers. It is usually obtained after earning 150,000 tier miles or more, with at least one qualifying flight in First Class or Business Class.
Adnan Kazim said that Platinum members enjoy the full range of benefits available to Blue, Silver and Gold members, in addition to extra exclusive privileges. Members receive complimentary home check-in service in Dubai, priority check-in at First Class counters at the airport, premium baggage delivery service, and access to Emirates’ global lounge network in First and Business Class, with the option to bring a guest free of charge.
Platinum members also earn 100% bonus Skywards Miles on every flight with Emirates or flydubai, and can gift a Gold tier membership to a spouse or friend.
