Abu Dhabi Municipality signed two cooperation agreements with Emirates Auction, a company specializing in managing public and online auctions in the Middle East, to strengthen joint cooperation aimed at enhancing services, meeting community aspirations, and optimally investing municipal assets based on best practices.

The agreements were recently signed at the Abu Dhabi City Municipality by Saif Bader Al Qubaisi, Director General of the Municipality; Abdullah Matar Al Mannaei, Chairman and Managing Director of Emirates Auction; and Emirates Parking, in the presence of several officials from both sides.

Saif Bader Al Qubaisi stressed that these steps reflect the vision of the Abu Dhabi Government to consolidate ties of integration and cooperation with the private sector, particularly in advancing comprehensive development, investing in public facilities, and initiating new projects required by the community to deliver modern, integrated services in a refined manner according to international standards.

Abdullah Matar Al Mannaei noted that the electronic auctions developed by Emirates Auction have gained widespread interest from bidders, differing from traditional methods of selling assets at acceptable or expected prices. He pointed out that Emirates Auction has over ten years of experience in this field.

Under the first agreement, Emirates Auction will provide services for leasing Abu Dhabi City Municipality’s investment assets over two years, where it will organize, manage, and conduct electronic auctions to lease and develop real estate units owned by the municipality.

The second agreement grants the right to remove neglected vehicles and manage the Al Mafraq impound yard to Emirates Parking. This step aligns with the municipality’s goal of improving vehicle towing services, handling of abandoned vehicles, and selling them at public auctions in accordance with the highest standards, criteria, and established procedures. The agreement is valid for 10 years from the date of signing.
