The signing ceremony took place at the Abu Dhabi City Municipality headquarters, in the presence of His Excellency Saif Bader Al Qubaisi, Director General of Abu Dhabi City Municipality, and His Excellency Abdulla Matar Al Mannaei, Chairman and Managing Director of Emirates Auction and Emirates Parking, along with a number of representatives from both sides.
His Excellency Saif Bader Al Qubaisi stated that these steps reflect the Abu Dhabi Government’s vision of reinforcing integration and cooperation with the private sector, especially in stimulating comprehensive development, developing and investing in public facilities, and launching new projects that society needs, all while providing modern, integrated services in a sophisticated manner aligned with global standards.
He noted that this approach fosters an attractive and encouraging investment environment, enabling continuous growth in line with the Abu Dhabi Government’s vision and comprehensive development plan. He emphasized the municipality’s commitment to strengthening collaboration with the private sector, believing that aligning the two parties’ objectives will empower the economy and continuously enhance services.
Al Qubaisi added that these agreements improve and streamline the procedures within the municipality through smart, advanced services, whether in vehicle transportation and management of impound yards or in organizing and managing online auctions. Such developments elevate the municipality’s overall efforts in applying top-level global standards, keeping pace with the Emirate of Abu Dhabi’s rapid progress toward a promising future, and fulfill the municipality’s mission to provide high-quality services to all residents of the emirate.
For his part, His Excellency Abdulla Matar Al Mannaei expressed his appreciation for the trust placed in Emirates Auction by Abu Dhabi City Municipality, authorizing the company to handle the leasing of investment assets and management of the vehicle impound yard in Al Mafraq. He stressed that this partnership strengthens the relationship with Abu Dhabi City Municipality, which has left its mark in enhancing municipal work and providing outstanding services.
Al Mannaei said that the agreements represent a valuable addition to Emirates Auction’s and Emirates Parking’s list of partners, underscoring the company’s growing reputation and strong performance. He stressed the company’s commitment to adhering to the best practices and standards with a high degree of transparency, dynamism, and seamlessness to ensure the satisfaction of both the municipality and its customers. This, in turn, guarantees beneficial returns for both parties and opens doors to broader strategic partnership opportunities.
Al Mannaei pointed out that the electronic auctions developed by Emirates Auction have gained widespread interest among bidders, surpassing traditional methods of selling assets both in terms of acceptable or expected prices. He noted that the company has over a decade of experience in this field, providing it with strong momentum by increasing the number of bidders, simplifying the process, optimizing costs for institutions, and enhancing levels of transparency and governance – making it a preferred partner for numerous entities in the country.
The first agreement covers leasing the investment assets owned by Abu Dhabi City Municipality through Emirates Auction for a period of two years. Under this agreement, Emirates Auction will organize, manage, and conduct electronic auctions to lease and develop certain real estate units belonging to the municipality, such as shops, showrooms, kiosks, and investment spaces. Emirates Auction will also undertake all procedures, announcements, and marketing efforts necessary to facilitate the leasing process through online public auctions.
The second agreement grants Emirates Auction the right to transport abandoned vehicles and manage the vehicle impound yard in Al Mafraq, which will be overseen by Emirates Parking. This effort is part of the municipality’s strategy to enhance the services for towing neglected vehicles and disposing of them via public auctions according to the highest standards, regulations, and requirements. It aligns with the aspirations of Abu Dhabi Municipality. This agreement will remain in effect for 10 years from the signing date.
